I attended the DDD day on saturday with some of my colleagues from Conchango. Andy, Ian and myself attended the event last year and we were all very impressed with the content that was delivered on the day and the way in which MS organised the event. This year I was not so impressed with the content of the talks that were held on the day. Out of the 4 chats that I attended only 2 of these were up to scratch. Indigo, SOA and the real world  by Daniel Fisher and Michael Willers was an awesome session. Howard, is hopefully going to organise a community day session at Conchango where Daniel and Micheal can go deep with WCF, can’t wait. The second session was Atlas and Live.com by Thomas Brattli the delivery and the content that Thomas communicated to the audience was great, and by the end I was itching to get home and start coding atlas widgets for Live.com.

The commitment by fellow geeks to attend on a Saturday when the weather was beautiful and a friendly world cup warm up game between England and Jamica was really impressive. I am uncertain about attending the event next year unless there is an improvement on the content delivered in the sessions, it would be awesome if there could be some workshops where we can code up and go deep on some interesting areas of .Net.
