Well, Conchango have kindly provided a nice little area on their infrastructure for those employees that have the time and inclination to write various articles relating to the diverse technology that the company have extensive experience of. There, that’s my little plug for the company out of the way! Obviously I would suggest reviewing what we do and make your own mind up, suffice to say it is an enjoyable place to work with a wealth of technical expertise.
So I am now in a quandary as to what to do with my previous blog. I had thought about simply moving all of the posts over to here and backdating them. Our high-tech blogmaster as he has now designated himself has assured me that a little tinkering with the database and these posts can be marked with their original post date - the wonders of modern-day technology usability eh?
However, I am not entirely sure that this would be the best option. It would take a reasonable amount of time (something I find often lacking) to move these into the new blog in a manner I would find satisfying. So, I will leave them there for the moment and perhaps just submit a selection of the more helpful gotcha’s.
As mentioned when starting my previous blog, posts here will be highly dependant upon time constraints. I am currently working with a client that involves a 5 hour commute every day, so squeezing in some of that precious time in writing my thoughts and experiences on here may be few and far between. However, I shall endeavour to combine lunch with the exercise (is that a kind of oxymoron?)!
Just a reminder (or an introduction for those new here), I generally work with Microsoft technologies, predominantly with .NET. I have fairly recently spent my time working with Microsoft BizTalk 2004 from JDP and now through to implementing a system with a client. So my blog will tend to discuss experiences within the integration workspace in a relatively informal style.
Cheers and hopefully you may find something enjoyable/worthwhile at some point!
