Hi Tony,

The upgrade is fairly trivial to do so don't worry.

Just download the file, ensure you have backed up all your phone and kissed good bye to your text messages.

Then attach your USB cable to the fully charged phone to the PC of your choice.

Once you sitting down comfortable run the application and follow the instructions of the wizard. It's a case of just saying next a lot :)

Then once the phone goes grey and only shows a progress bar, go make a cup of coffee or tea... When your back... Viola... New update :)

Please do make sure you don't disconect the device whilst this is running, this will brake your device beyond repair.

I hope that helps...

You can't at the moment. Well there is a way, but I've not tried it... So I use good old XP...

If you don't have access, let me know and I'll test out the Vista way...

I hate this phone! The features sounds great but to own one is a different story. Perhaps it's the vodafone software. All applications and especially the calendar takes forever to load. Anyway, the update did not work on VISTA. In XP, the update was easy enough. (tensed moment no doubt...) been running for 3 weeks now. My Sandisk 2 GB micro SD stopped working suddenly. worked fine on other phone. Handset cannot detect any external storage tried a 64 Mb one works fine. not sure whats going on. Will take it to a vodafone shop later..... 2nd time this year! Losing faith in HTC......I would also recommend all to change to T-mobile. The packages are so much better than Vodafone's. I think Vodafone is getting too complacent these days. Bad customer phone service, Bad tarriffs. Bad software.

Excellent - installed first time perfectly. Many thanks. Note that *everything* gets deleted from the unit's internal memory - including installed programs. AMcK

I don't think the TyTn can accept a 4gb card as the higher capacity sdcards use a different format. I believe 2gb microsd is the maximum and I have one installed without problems.
