In case you didn't hear the other day...
The BETA of Service Pack 1 was released last week (15th December). It's always good to see a service pack being released. It shows the commitment to the product (like we needed to see that with VS2k5)...
It's also good as they tend to bundle other little things in it too..
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/editions/compact/default.mspx - SQL 2005 Compact Edition is bundled with it too...
Now don't expect to see anything exciting right after install... It's just the binaries to allow you to create SQL Databases and connections ETC...
You can also use the built in SQL controls for the device just like you can for WinForms... SWEET...
One slight issue.
Bugs in the thing that was meant to sort out bugs in VisStu! 
Mostly to do with memory on your PC or you just have Vista!
I have installed it on my box even though it’s running Vista. I had one or two issues (nothing worth letting you know about), but I think I’ve solved them now...
So be aware of the above when you want to install... Best of waiting for the Service Pack of the Service Pack...
