SQL: Performance effects of NOCOUNT

Just a short post, mainly here as a reminder to myself, to point out an article that has appeared on SQL Server Central today. The author, David Poole, has tested out the impact of specifying SET NOCOUNT ON in stored procedures.

Its always good to have accepted best practice validated and David has done a good job of that here. Check out the article here:
